mercy and compassion

Closest related principles - Core Interrelations taken from interrelations below.

Have compassion for people and do what you can to help them, believing in the Lord for help; and He will help. Then amazing things are possible. (principles from MK8:1-9)

Have mercy on people around you who are poor and in unfortunate circumstances. Don't make excuses in order to refuse God's invitation to you, or you will find yourself apart from God's goodness. (principles from LK14:3-24)

If you won't tolerate having the evil you do exposed by God, you'll hate Jesus. You'll find out Jesus' teachings come from God when you choose to apply the principles of God to your life (this will help you believe in Jesus). This work will honor God and make you a man or woman of truth. Then you will have given glory to God, and that's a great thing. If you are insensitive to this, then you're a goner because you won't be able to believe. When God is in us, we have mercy on our neighbor. (principles from JH6:66-8:11)

Love, give and do good to, bless and pray for your enemies, those who hate you, curse you, and mistreat you. Do to others as you would have them do to you. Then your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High. Be merciful to people and do not judge or condemn them; forgive them. Give, and a good overflowing measure will be poured back to you. Doing what Jesus says will make you solid as a rock, disregard and at some point you will be quickly destroyed. (principles from LK6:20-49)

Love your neighbor, being careful not to offend him. Show the childlike humility that leads one into true believing and greatness. Unbelievers tend to cause believers to sin (do harmful things); they better take as strong a measure as possible to stop or they will be sorry. Perhaps one of the best ways to overcome our harmful desires is through serving others. Jesus served us by coming to find us and save us when we had gone astray. When you start serving others and have your relationships with others inline with the principles in spite of all the problems that come up, and this involves A LOT of forgiving and mercy (these are the fruits of true believing), then you can ask what you wish from the Father, and it is yours. (principles from MT17:24-18:35)

Our Teacher said serving is the greatest, he who humbles himself. Woe to the hypocrite! (prideful one) Rather have mercy on your neighbor. Having faith in God you can overcome your harmful desires through actions such as these. Otherwise you will be deceived by your unbelieving heart, as evidenced by what your life visibly produces. Refusal brings judgement into eternal fire because it shows a prideful will to not believe God's Word about Jesus, and not put yourself at His command to love your neighbor. (principles from MT23:1-39)

Being forceful and sensitive helps you see God's call unmistakably and take the right actions, proving your alignment with God. God disconnects from people who refuse the authority of Jesus after God makes Jesus real to them; this Jesus who came from Him. Those who accept Jesus find rest for their souls. Understanding how important it is to God that we show people mercy helps us clearly distinguish right from wrong. (principles from MT11:7-12:8)
