Rm7:14We know that the law is spiritual; but I am unspiritual, sold as a slave to sin. 15I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. 16And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good. 17As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me. 18I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. 19For what I do is not the good I want to do; no, the evil I do not want to do--this I keep on doing. 20Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it. - NIV
Rm7:21So I find this law at work: When I want to do good, evil is right
there with me. 22For in my inner being I delight in God's law;
23but
I see another law at work in the members of my body, waging war against the law
of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within my members.
24What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body of
death? 25Thanks be to God--through Jesus Christ our Lord!

Rm12:9Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.
10Be
devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves. 11Never
be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. 12Be
joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. 13Share
with God's people who are in need. Practice hospitality. 14Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse.
15Rejoice
with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. 16Live in harmony
with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of
low position. Do not be
conceited. 17Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right
in the eyes of everybody. 18If it is possible, as far as it depends
on you, live at peace with everyone. 19Do not take revenge, my
friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written: "It is mine to
avenge; I will repay,"
says the Lord. 20On the contrary:
"If your enemy is hungry, feed him;
if he is thirsty, give him something
to drink.
In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head." (Pro25:21-22)
21Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. - NIV
2Pet2:4For if God did
not spare angels when they sinned, but sent them to hell, putting them into
gloomy dungeons to be held for judgment; 5if
he did not spare the ancient world when he brought the flood on its ungodly
people, but protected Noah, a preacher of righteousness, and seven others; 6if
he condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah by burning them to ashes, and made
them an example of what is going to happen to the ungodly; 7and
if he rescued Lot, a righteous
man, who was distressed by the filthy lives of
lawless men 8(for
that righteous man, living among them day after day, was tormented in his
righteous soul by the lawless deeds he saw and heard) 9if
this is so, then the Lord knows how to rescue godly men from trials and to hold
the unrighteous for the day of judgment, while continuing their punishment.
Jud1:20But you, dear friends, build yourselves up in your most holy
faith and pray in the Holy Spirit. 21Keep
yourselves in God's love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to
bring you to eternal life. 22Be merciful to
those who doubt; 23snatch others from the fire
and save them; to others show mercy, mixed with fearhating
even the clothing stained by corrupted flesh. 24To
him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you before his glorious
presence without fault and with great joy 25to
the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus
Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen. - NIV
