1Jhn5:1Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves the father loves his child as well.

Rom10:6But the righteousness that is by faith says: �Do not say in your heart, 'Who will ascend into heaven?'� (that is, to bring Christ down) 7�or 'Who will descend into the deep?'� (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead). 8But what does it say? �The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart,� that is, the word of faith we are proclaiming: 9That if you confess with your mouth, �Jesus is Lord,� and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. ..... 17 ..... faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ.
1Cor2:4My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit's power, 5so that your faith might not rest on men's wisdom, but on God's power.
Gal3:26You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus, 27for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.
Phi3:4 ..... Col2:9For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, 10and you have been given fullness in Christ, who is the head over every power and authority. 11In him you were also circumcised, in the putting off of the sinful nature, not with a circumcision done by the hands of men but with the circumcision done by Christ, 12having been buried with him in baptism and raised with him through your faith in the power of God, who raised him from the dead. 13When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your sinful nature, God made you alive with Christ. 1The4:14We believe that Jesus died and rose again and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.
1Tim1:15Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners�of whom I am the worst. 16But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his unlimited patience as an example for those who would believe on him and receive eternal life. 17Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Jhn20:30Jesus did many other miraculous signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book. 31But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.
Act10:43�All the prophets testify about him that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name.� - speaking of Jesus
Mar9:17A man in the crowd answered,
�Teacher, I brought you my son, who is possessed by a spirit that has robbed
him of speech. 18Whenever it seizes him, it
throws him to the ground. He foams at the mouth, gnashes his teeth and becomes
rigid. I asked your disciples to drive out the spirit, but they could not.� 19�O
unbelieving generation,� Jesus replied, �how
long shall I stay with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring the
boy to me.� 20So they brought him. When the
spirit saw Jesus, it immediately threw the boy into a convulsion. He fell to the
ground and rolled around, foaming at the mouth. 21Jesus asked the boy's father,
�How long has he been like this?� �From childhood,� he answered. 22�It
has often thrown him into fire or water to kill him. But if you can do anything,
take pity on us and help us.� 23� �If you
can�?� said Jesus. �Everything is possible for him who believes.�
24Immediately
the boy's father exclaimed, �I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!�
The Knowledge of the Word of God
Act3:16�By faith in the name of
Jesus, this man whom you see and know was made strong. It is Jesus' name and the
faith that comes through him that has given this complete healing to him, as you
can all see.�

1Pet1:3Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade�kept in heaven for you, 5who through faith are shielded by God's power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time. 6In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. 7These have come so that your faith�of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire�may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. 8Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, 9for you are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls.
1Pet5:8Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 9Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings. 10And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. 11To him be the power for ever and ever. Amen.
1Jhn5:3This is love for God: to obey his commands. And his commands are not burdensome, 4for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. 5Who is it that overcomes the world? Only he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.
Rom1:1Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle and set apart for the gospel of God� 2the gospel he promised beforehand through his prophets in the Holy Scriptures 3regarding his Son, who as to his human nature was a descendant of David, 4and who through the Spirit of holiness was declared with power to be the Son of God by his resurrection from the dead: Jesus Christ our Lord. 5Through him and for his name's sake, we received grace and apostleship to call people from among all the Gentiles to the obedience that comes from faith.
Gal3:11Clearly no one is justified before God by the law, because, �The righteous will live by faith.� (Hab2:4)
Eph6:16In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

Believing and having the Spirit go together.
Jhn7:37On the last and greatest day of
the Feast, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, �If anyone is thirsty, let
him come to me and drink. 38Whoever believes in me,
as the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him.�
39By this he meant the Spirit, whom those who
believed in him were later to receive. Up to that time the Spirit had not been
given, since Jesus had not yet been glorified.
Act6:5This proposal pleased the whole group. They chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Spirit;
Act11:24He was a good man, full of the Holy Spirit and faith, and a great number of people were brought to the Lord.
Jud1:20But you, dear friends, build yourselves up in your most holy faith and pray in the Holy Spirit. 21Keep yourselves in God's love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life.
Rom15:13May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Gal3:1You foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you? Before your very eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed as crucified. 2I would like to learn just one thing from you: Did you receive the Spirit by observing the law, or by believing what you heard? 3Are you so foolish? After beginning with the Spirit, are you now trying to attain your goal by human effort? 4Have you suffered so much for nothing�if it really was for nothing? 5Does God give you his Spirit and work miracles among you because you observe the law, or because you believe what you heard?
Gal3:6Consider Abraham: �He believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.� (Gen15:6) 7Understand, then, that those who believe are children of Abraham. 8The Scripture foresaw that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, and announced the gospel in advance to Abraham: �All nations will be blessed through you.� (Gen12:3; 18:18; 22:18) 9So those who have faith are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith. .....
13Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: �Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree.� (Due21:23) 14He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit. ..... 22But the Scripture declares that the whole world is a prisoner of sin, so that what was promised, being given through faith in Jesus Christ, might be given to those who believe.
Gal5:5But by faith we eagerly await through the Spirit the righteousness for which we hope. 6For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love.
1Cor13:2If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing. 4Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 8Love never fails. ..... 13And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
Eph3:14For this reason I kneel before the Father, 15from whom his whole family in heaven and on earth derives its name. 16I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, 17so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 18may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, 19and to know this love that surpasses knowledge�that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. 20Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, 21to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! God puts our sin to death by the Spirit.
1Pet1:1Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ,
To God's elect, strangers in the world, scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia and Bithynia, 2who have been chosen according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through the sanctifying1c work of the Spirit, for obedience to Jesus Christ and sprinkling by his blood: Grace and peace be yours in abundance.
Rom8:1Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, 2because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death. 3For what the law was powerless to do in that it was weakened by the sinful nature, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful man to be a sin offering. And so he condemned sin in sinful man, 4in order that the righteous requirements of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the sinful nature but according to the Spirit.
Rom8:5Those who live according to the sinful nature have their minds set on what that nature desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. 6The mind of sinful man is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace; 7the sinful mind is hostile to God. It does not submit to God's law, nor can it do so. 8Those controlled by the sinful nature cannot please God.
Rom8:9You, however, are controlled not by the sinful nature but by the Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ. 10But if Christ is in you, your body is dead because of sin, yet your spirit is alive because of righteousness. 11And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit, who lives in you.
Rom8:12Therefore, brothers, we have an obligation--but it is not to the sinful nature, to live according to it. 13For if you live according to the sinful nature, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live, 14because those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. 15For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by him we cry, �Abba, Father.� 16The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children. 17Now if we are children, then we are heirs--heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.
Rom15:14I myself am convinced, my brothers, that you yourselves are full of goodness, complete in knowledge and competent to instruct one another. 15I have written you quite boldly on some points, as if to remind you of them again, because of the grace God gave me 16to be a minister of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles with the priestly duty of proclaiming the gospel of God, so that the Gentiles might become an offering acceptable to God, sanctified1b by the Holy Spirit.
Gal5:16So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature. 17For the sinful nature desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the sinful nature. They are in conflict with each other, so that you do not do what you want. 18But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under law. 19The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery2a; 20idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God. 22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires. 25Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.
Tit3:3At one time we too were foolish, disobedient, deceived and enslaved by all kinds of passions and pleasures. We lived in malice and envy, being hated and hating one another. 4But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, 5he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, 6whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior, 7so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life. 8This is a trustworthy saying. And I want you to stress these things, so that those who have trusted in God may be careful to devote themselves to doing what is good. These things are excellent and profitable for everyone.
Jhn14:26�But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.� - words of Jesus
Jhn16:13�But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.� - words of Jesus
God is proactive in helping us and developing us.
Act15:8God, who knows the heart, showed
that he accepted them by giving the Holy Spirit to them, just as he did to us. 9He
made no distinction between us and them, for he purified
their hearts by faith.
Jam2:5Listen, my dear brothers: Has not God chosen those who are poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith and to inherit the kingdom he promised those who love him?
1Pet5:6Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. 7Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

Rom2:28A man is not a Jew if he is only one outwardly, nor is circumcision merely outward and physical. 29No, a man is a Jew if he is one inwardly; and circumcision is circumcision of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the written code. Such a man's praise is not from men, but from God.
Rom8:28And we know
that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have
been called according to his purpose. 29For
those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his
Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. 30And
those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those

then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?

who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all�how will he not
also, along with him, graciously give us all things? 33Who
will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who

is he that condemns? Christ Jesus, who died�more than that, who was raised to
life�is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. 35Who
shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or
persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? 36As
it is written:
�For your sake we face death all day long;
we are considered as sheep to be
slaughtered.� (Psa44:22)
37No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Rom16:25Now to him
who is able to establish you by my gospel and the proclamation of Jesus
Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery hidden for long ages past, 26but
now revealed and made known through the prophetic writings by the command of the
eternal God, so that all nations might believe and obey him� 27to
the only wise God be glory forever through Jesus Christ! Amen.
1Cor1:4I always thank God for you because of his grace given you in Christ Jesus. 5For in him you have been enriched in every way�in all your speaking and in all your knowledge� 6because our testimony about Christ was confirmed in you. 7Therefore you do not lack any spiritual gift as you eagerly wait for our Lord Jesus Christ to be revealed. 8He will keep you strong to the end, so that you will be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9God, who has called you into fellowship with his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, is faithful.
1Cor1:26Brothers, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. 27But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. 28He chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things�and the things that are not�to nullify the things that are, 29so that no one may boast before him. 30It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God�that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption. 31Therefore, as it is written: �Let him who boasts boast in the Lord.� (Jer9:24)
1Cor2:9However, as it is written:
�No eye has seen,
no ear has heard,
no mind has conceived
what God has prepared for those who love him� (Isa64:4)�
10but God has revealed it to us by
his Spirit.
The Spirit searches all things, even the
deep things of God. 11For who among
men knows the thoughts of a man except the man's spirit within him? In the same
way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. 12We
have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit who is from God, that
we may understand what God has freely given us. 13This
is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by
the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words.
14The man without the Spirit does not
accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to
him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned. 15The
spiritual man makes judgments about all things, but he himself is not subject to
any man's judgment:
16�For who has known the
mind of the Lord
that he may instruct him?�
(Isa40:13)
But we have the mind of Christ.
1Cor10:12So, if you think you are
standing firm, be careful that you don't fall! 13No
temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And
God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But
when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up
under it.
1Cor11:32When we are judged by the Lord, we are being disciplined so that we will not be condemned with the world.
2Cor1:21Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ. He anointed us, 22set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.
2Cor3:2You yourselves are our letter, written on our hearts, known and read by everybody. 3You show that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts. 4Such confidence as this is ours through Christ before God. 5Not that we are competent in ourselves to claim anything for ourselves, but our competence comes from God. 6He has made us competent as ministers of a new covenant�not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.
2Cor3:17Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. 18And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.
2Cor4:6For God, who said, �Let light shine out of darkness,� (Gen1:3) made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ. 7But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.
2Cor9:6Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. 7Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 8And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. 9As it is written: �He has scattered abroad his gifts to the poor; his righteousness endures forever.� (Psa112:9) 10Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. 11You will be made rich in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.
Eph1:17I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. 18I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, 19and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is like the working of his mighty strength, 20which he exerted in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, 21far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every title that can be given, not only in the present age but also in the one to come.
Eph2:19Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and aliens, but fellow citizens with God's people and members of God's household, 20built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. 21In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. 22And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit.
Eph4:7But
to each one of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned it. ..... 8This
is why it says:
"When he ascended on high,
he led captives in his train
and gave gifts to men."
(Psa68:18) 11It
was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be
evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, 12to
prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be
built up 13until
we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and
become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the
fullness of Christ.
Phi1:3I thank my God every time I remember you. 4In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy 5because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, 6being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
Phi2:12Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed�not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence�continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, 13for it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose.
Phi4:12I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. 13I can do everything through him who gives me strength.
Phi4:14Yet it was good of you to share in my troubles. 15Moreover, as you Philippians know, in the early days of your acquaintance with the gospel, when I set out from Macedonia, not one church shared with me in the matter of giving and receiving, except you only; 16for even when I was in Thessalonica, you sent me aid again and again when I was in need. 17Not that I am looking for a gift, but I am looking for what may be credited to your account. 18I have received full payment and even more; I am amply supplied, now that I have received from Epaphroditus the gifts you sent. They are a fragrant offering, an acceptable sacrifice, pleasing to God. 19And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus. 20To our God and Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
1The2:13And we also thank God continually because, when you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as the word of men, but as it actually is, the word of God, which is at work in you who believe.
1The5:23May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify1d you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 24The one who calls you is faithful and he will do it.

Heb2:10In bringing many sons to glory, it was fitting that God, for whom and through whom everything exists, should make the author of their salvation perfect through suffering. 11Both the one who makes men holy and those who are made holy are of the same family. So Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers. ..... 14Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might destroy him who holds the power of death�that is, the devil� 15and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death. 16For surely it is not angels he helps, but Abraham's descendants. 17For this reason he had to be made like his brothers in every way, in order that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in service to God, and that he might make atonement3b for the sins of the people. 18Because he himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted.
Heb7:23Now there have been many of those priests, since death prevented them from continuing in office; 24but because Jesus lives forever, he has a permanent priesthood. 25Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.
Heb8:10�This is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after that time, declares the Lord. I will put my laws in their minds and write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people. 11No longer will a man teach his neighbor, or a man his brother, saying, �Know the Lord,� because they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest. 12For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more.� (Jer31:31-34)
Heb9:11When Christ came as high priest of the good things that are already here, he went through the greater and more perfect tabernacle that is not man-made, that is to say, not a part of this creation. 12He did not enter by means of the blood of goats and calves; but he entered the Most Holy Place once for all by his own blood, having obtained eternal redemption. 13The blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a heifer sprinkled on those who are ceremonially unclean sanctify1f them so that they are outwardly clean. 14How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the living God! 15For this reason Christ is the mediator of a new covenant, that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance�now that he has died as a ransom to set them free from the sins committed under the first covenant.
Heb10:5Therefore, when
Christ came into the world, he said:
�Sacrifice and offering you did not desire,
but a body you prepared for me;

burnt offerings and sin offerings
you were not pleased.
7Then
I said, 'Here I am�it is written about me in the scroll�
I have come to do your will, O God.' �

by that will, we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus
Christ once for all. 11Day
after day every priest stands and performs his religious duties; again and again
he offers the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. 12But
when this priest had offered for all time one sacrifice for sins, he sat down at
the right hand of God. 13Since
that time he waits for his enemies to be made his footstool, 14because
by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy.
Heb12:1Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. 2Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.
Heb13:5Keep
your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have,
because God has said,
�Never will I leave you;
never will I forsake you.�
(Deu31:6)

Tit2:11For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men. 12It teaches us to say �No� to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, 13while we wait for the blessed hope�the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, 14who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good.
Mat6:30�If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?� - words of Jesus (also Luk12:28)
Luk22:31�Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift you as wheat. 32But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.� - words of Jesus
Act3:16By faith in the name of Jesus, this man whom you see and know was made strong. It is Jesus' name and the faith that comes through him that has given this complete healing to him, as you can all see.
Act11:21The Lord's hand was with them, and a great number of people believed and turned to the Lord.
We must apply the faith God gives us, (it brings healing, and we need to be healed of our sinful nature).
Act11:22 ..... and they sent Barnabas to
Antioch. 23When he arrived and saw the evidence of
the grace of God, he was glad and encouraged them all to
remain true to the Lord with all their hearts.
Act14:8In Lystra there sat a man crippled in his feet, who was lame from birth and had never walked. 9He listened to Paul as he was speaking. Paul looked directly at him, saw that he had faith to be healed 10and called out, �Stand up on your feet!� At that, the man jumped up and began to walk.
Jam1:2Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. 4Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. ..... 12Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.
1Pet2:19For it is commendable if a man bears up under the pain of unjust suffering because he is conscious of God. 20But how is it to your credit if you receive a beating for doing wrong and endure it? But if you suffer for doing good and you endure it, this is commendable before God. 21To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps.
22�He committed no sin,
and no deceit was found in his mouth.�
(Isa 53:9)
23When they hurled their insults at him, he did not retaliate; when he suffered, he made no threats. Instead, he entrusted himself to him who judges justly. 24He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed. 25For you were like sheep going astray, but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.
Rom1:7To all in Rome who are loved by God and called to be saints: Grace and peace to you from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ. 8First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you, because your faith is being reported all over the world.
1Cor16:13Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be men of courage; be strong. 14Do everything in love.
2Cor1:24Not that we lord it over your
faith, but we work with you for your joy, because it is by faith you stand
firm.
Jam4:4You adulterous people, don't you know that friendship with the world is hatred toward God? Anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God. 5Or do you think Scripture says without reason that the spirit he caused to live in us envies intensely? 6But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says: �God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.� (Pro3:34) 7Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 8Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. 9Grieve, mourn and wail. Change your laughter to mourning and your joy to gloom. 10Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.
2Cor7:10Godly sorrow brings repentance4b that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death. 11See what this godly sorrow has produced in you: what earnestness, what eagerness to clear yourselves, what indignation, what alarm, what longing, what concern, what readiness to see justice done. At every point you have proved yourselves to be innocent in this matter.
2Cor4:13It is written: �I believed;
therefore I have spoken.� (Psa116:10)
With that same spirit of faith we also
believe and therefore speak, 14because we know that
the one who raised the Lord Jesus from the dead will also raise us with Jesus
and present us with you in his presence.
2Cor4:18So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
2Cor5:6Therefore we are always confident and know that as long as we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord. 7We live by faith, not by sight. 8We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord.
2Cor6:16 ..... As God has said: �I will live with them and walk
among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people.�
(Lev26:12, Jer32:38, Exe37:27)
17�Therefore come out from them and be separate, says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you.� (Isa52:11, Eze20:34,41)
18�I will be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.� (2Sam7:14,7:8)
2Cor7:1Since we have these promises, dear friends, let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God.
Phi4:4Rejoice
in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5Let
your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. 6Do
not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition,
with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7And
the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and
your minds in Christ Jesus.
Phi4:10I rejoice greatly in the Lord that at last you have renewed your concern for me. Col1:21Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in your minds because of your evil behavior. 22But now he has reconciled you by Christ's physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation� 23if you continue in your faith, established and firm, not moved from the hope held out in the gospel. This is the gospel that you heard and that has been proclaimed to every creature under heaven, and of which I, Paul, have become a servant.
Col2:6So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, 7rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.
1The1:3We continually remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.
2The1:3We ought always to thank God for you, brothers, and rightly so, because your faith is growing more and more, and the love every one of you has for each other is increasing. 4Therefore, among God's churches we boast about your perseverance and faith in all the persecutions and trials you are enduring. 5All this is evidence that God's judgment is right, and as a result you will be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you are suffering. 6God is just: He will pay back trouble to those who trouble you 7and give relief to you who are troubled, and to us as well. This will happen when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven in blazing fire with his powerful angels. 8He will punish those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. 9They will be punished with everlasting destruction and shut out from the presence of the Lord and from the majesty of his power 10on the day he comes to be glorified in his holy people and to be marveled at among all those who have believed. This includes you, because you believed our testimony to you. 11With this in mind, we constantly pray for you, that our God may count you worthy of his calling, and that by his power he may fulfill every good purpose of yours and every act prompted by your faith. 12We pray this so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Heb4:14Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has gone through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. 15For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are�yet was without sin. 16Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
Heb6:10God is not unjust; he will not
forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people
and continue to help them. 11We want each of you to
show this same diligence to the very end, in order to make your hope sure. 12We
do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who
through faith and patience inherit what has been promised.
Heb9:15For this reason Christ is the mediator of a new covenant, that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance�now that he has died as a ransom to set them free from the sins committed under the first covenant.
Heb10:19Therefore,
brothers, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of
Jesus, 20by a new and living way opened for us
through the curtain, that is, his body, 21and
since we have a great priest over the house of God, 22let
us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith,
having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having
our bodies washed with pure water. 23Let
us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.
Heb10:35So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. 36You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised. 37For in just a very little while, �He who is coming will come and will not delay. 38But my righteous one will live by faith. And if he shrinks back, I will not be pleased with him.� (Hab2:3-4) 39But we are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed, but of those who believe and are saved.
1Tim1:3As I urged you when I went into Macedonia, stay there in Ephesus so that you may command certain men not to teach false doctrines any longer 4nor to devote themselves to myths and endless genealogies. These promote controversies rather than God's work�which is by faith. 5The goal of this command is love, which comes from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith.
2Tim2:20In a large house there are articles not only of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay; some are for noble purposes and some for ignoble. 21If a man cleanses himself from the latter, he will be an instrument for noble purposes, made holy, useful to the Master and prepared to do any good work. 22Flee the evil desires of youth, and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
Mat8:8The centurion replied, �Lord, I do not deserve to have you come under my roof. But just say the word, and my servant will be healed. 9For I myself am a man under authority, with soldiers under me. I tell this one, �Go,� and he goes; and that one, �Come,� and he comes. I say to my servant, �Do this,� and he does it. 10When Jesus heard this, he was astonished and said to those following him, �I tell you the truth, I have not found anyone in Israel with such great faith. ..... 13Then Jesus said to the centurion, �Go! It will be done just as you believed it would.� And his servant was healed at that very hour.
Mat9:2Some men brought to him a paralytic, lying on a mat. When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, �Take heart, son; your sins are forgiven.� ..... Then he said to the paralytic, �Get up, take your mat and go home.� 7And the man got up and went home. 8When the crowd saw this, they were filled with awe; and they praised God, who had given such authority to men.
Mat9:20Just then a woman who had been
subject to bleeding for twelve years came up behind him and touched the edge of
his cloak. 21She said to herself, �If I only
touch his cloak, I will be healed.� 22Jesus
turned and saw her. �Take heart, daughter,� he said, �your faith has
healed you.� And the woman was healed from that moment.
Luk8:48Then he said to her, �Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace.� 49While Jesus was still speaking, someone came from the house of Jairus, the synagogue ruler. �Your daughter is dead,� he said. �Don't bother the teacher any more.� 50Hearing this, Jesus said to Jairus, �Don't be afraid; just believe, and she will be healed.� 51When he arrived at the house of Jairus ..... 54 ..... he took her by the hand and said, �My child, get up!� 55Her spirit returned, and at once she stood up. (also Mar5:35-42)
Mat9:27As Jesus went on from there,
two blind men followed him, calling out, �Have mercy on us, Son of David!� 28When
he had gone indoors, the blind men came to him, and he asked them, �Do you
believe that I am able to do this?� �Yes, Lord,� they replied. 29Then
he touched their eyes and said, �According to your faith will it be done to
you�; 30and their sight was restored.
Mat15:22A Canaanite woman from that vicinity came to him, crying out, �Lord, Son of David, have mercy on me! My daughter is suffering terribly from demon possession.� 23Jesus did not answer a word. So his disciples came to him and urged him, �Send her away, for she keeps crying out after us.� 24He answered, �I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel.� 25The woman came and knelt before him. �Lord, help me!� she said. 26He replied, �It is not right to take the children's bread and toss it to their dogs.� 27�Yes, Lord,� she said, �but even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their masters' table.� 28Then Jesus answered, �Woman, you have great faith! Your request is granted.� And her daughter was healed from that very hour.
Mat17:18Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of the boy, and he was healed from that moment. 19Then the disciples came to Jesus in private and asked, �Why couldn't we drive it out?� 20He replied, �Because you have so little faith. I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, �Move from here to there� and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.�
Mar11:21Peter remembered and said to
Jesus, �Rabbi, look! The fig tree you cursed has withered!� 22�Have
faith in God,� Jesus answered. 23�I tell you
the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, �Go, throw yourself into the sea,�
and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it
will be done for him. 24Therefore I tell
you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it
will be yours.�
Mat21:21Jesus replied, �I tell you the truth, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, �Go, throw yourself into the sea,� and it will be done. 22If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.�
Mar10:47When he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to
shout, �Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!� 48Many
rebuked him and told him to be quiet, but he shouted all the more, �Son of
David, have mercy on me!� 49Jesus stopped and said, �Call
him.� ..... 51�What do you want me to do
for you?� Jesus asked him. The blind man said, �Rabbi, I want to see.� 52�Go,�
said Jesus, �your faith has healed you.� Immediately he received his sight

Luk5:18Some men came carrying a paralytic on a mat and tried to take him into the house to lay him before Jesus. 19When they could not find a way to do this because of the crowd, they went up on the roof and lowered him on his mat through the tiles into the middle of the crowd, right in front of Jesus. 20When Jesus saw their faith, he said, �Friend, your sins are forgiven.� 21The Pharisees and the teachers of the law began thinking to themselves, �Who is this fellow who speaks blasphemy? Who can forgive sins but God alone?� 22Jesus knew what they were thinking and asked, �Why are you thinking these things in your hearts? 23Which is easier: to say, �Your sins are forgiven,� or to say, �Get up and walk�? 24But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins....� He said to the paralyzed man, �I tell you, get up, take your mat and go home.� 25Immediately he stood up in front of them, took what he had been lying on and went home praising God. 26Everyone was amazed and gave praise to God. They were filled with awe and said, �We have seen remarkable things today.� (also Mar2:3-12)
Luk7:37When a woman who had lived a sinful life in that town learned that Jesus was eating at the Pharisee's house, she brought an alabaster jar of perfume, 38and as she stood behind him at his feet weeping, she began to wet his feet with her tears. Then she wiped them with her hair, kissed them and poured perfume on them. ..... 44Then he turned toward the woman and said to Simon, �Do you see this woman? I came into your house. You did not give me any water for my feet, but she wet my feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair. 45You did not give me a kiss, but this woman, from the time I entered, has not stopped kissing my feet. 46You did not put oil on my head, but she has poured perfume on my feet. 47Therefore, I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven�for she loved much. But he who has been forgiven little loves little.� ..... 50Jesus said to the woman, �Your faith has saved you; go in peace.�
Luk17:5The apostles said to the Lord, �Increase our faith!� 6He replied, �If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, �Be uprooted and planted in the sea,� and it will obey you.�
Luk17:11Now on his way to Jerusalem, Jesus traveled along the border between Samaria and Galilee. 12As he was going into a village, ten men who had leprosy met him. They stood at a distance 13and called out in a loud voice, �Jesus, Master, have pity on us!� 14When he saw them, he said, �Go, show yourselves to the priests.� And as they went, they were cleansed. 15One of them, when he saw he was healed, came back, praising God in a loud voice. 16He threw himself at Jesus' feet and thanked him�and he was a Samaritan. 17Jesus asked, �Were not all ten cleansed? Where are the other nine? 18Was no one found to return and give praise to God except this foreigner?� 19Then he said to him, �Rise and go; your faith has made you well.�

Lack of applying the faith God has given you invites fear and doubt, underperformance.
Mat14:29�Come,� he said. Then Peter
got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. 30But
when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, �Lord,
save me!� 31Immediately Jesus reached out his
hand and caught him. �You of little faith,� he said, �why did you doubt?�
Luk8:23As
they sailed, he fell asleep. A squall came down on the lake, so that the boat
was being swamped, and they were in great danger. 24The
disciples went and woke him, saying, �Master, Master, we're going to drown!�
He got up and rebuked the wind and the raging waters; the storm subsided, and
all was calm. 25�Where is
your faith?� he asked his disciples. In fear and amazement they asked
one another, �Who is this? He commands even the winds and the water, and they
obey him.�

Because they pursued it not by faith but as if it were by works. ..... 10:1Brothers, my heart's desire and prayer to God for the Israelites is that they may be saved. 2For I can testify about them that they are zealous for God, but their zeal is not based on knowledge. 3Since they did not know the righteousness that comes from God and sought to establish their own, they did not submit to God's righteousness. 4Christ is the end of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes.
Rom14:14As one who is in the Lord Jesus, I am fully convinced that no food is unclean in itself. But if anyone regards something as unclean, then for him it is unclean. ..... 22Blessed is the man who does not condemn himself by what he approves. 23But the man who has doubts is condemned if he eats, because his eating is not from faith; and everything that does not come from faith is sin.
1The2:10 ..... They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. 11For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie 12and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.
Heb3:12See to it, brothers, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God. 13But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called Today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin's deceitfulness. 14We have come to share in Christ if we hold firmly till the end the confidence we had at first. 15As has just been said: �Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts as you did in the rebellion.� (Psa95:7-8) 16Who were they who heard and rebelled? Heb11:6And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
1Tim4:1The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. 2Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron.
1Pet2:6For in Scripture it says: �See, I lay a
stone in Zion,
a chosen and precious cornerstone,
and the one who trusts in him will never be put to shame.�

Jam2:14What good is it, my brothers, if a
man claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save him? 15Suppose
a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. 16If
one of you says to him, �Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed,� but
does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it? 17In
the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. 18But
someone will say, �You have faith; I have deeds.� Show me your faith
without deeds, and I will show you my faith by what I do. 19You
believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that-and shudder. 20You
foolish man, do you want evidence that faith without deeds
is useless? 21Was not our ancestor Abraham
considered righteous for what he did when he offered his son Isaac on the altar?
22You see that his faith and
his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he
did. 23And the scripture was fulfilled that
says, �Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness,�
(Gen15:6) and he was called God's friend. 24You see that a
person is justified by what he does and not by faith alone. 25In
the same way, was not even Rahab the prostitute considered righteous for what
she did when she gave lodging to the spies and sent them off in a different
direction? 26As the body
without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead.
Heb11:1Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.
Rom4:18Against all
hope, Abraham in hope believed and so
became the father of many nations, just as it had been said to him, �So shall
your offspring be.� (Gen15:5) 19Without weakening in his faith, he faced the fact
that his body was as good as dead�since he was about a hundred years old�and
that Sarah's womb was also dead. 20Yet he did not
waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his
faith and gave glory to God, 21being fully
persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised. 22This
is why �it was credited to him as righteousness.� (Gen15:6)
23The
words �it was credited to him� were written not for him alone, 24but
also for us, to whom God will credit righteousness�for us who believe in him
who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead. 25He was
delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our
justification.
Heb11:24By faith Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be known as the son of Pharaoh's daughter. 25He chose to be mistreated along with the people of God rather than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a short time. 26He regarded disgrace for the sake of Christ as of greater value than the treasures of Egypt, because he was looking ahead to his reward. 27By faith he left Egypt, not fearing the king's anger; he persevered because he saw him who is invisible.
