Rm8:31What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us,
who can be against us? 32He who did not spare
his own Son, but gave him up for us all--how will he not also, along with him,
graciously give us all things? 33Who will bring
any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. 34Who
is he that condemns? Christ Jesus, who died more than that, who was raised
to life is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. 35Who
shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or
persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? 36As
it is written:
"For your sake we face death all day long;
we are considered as sheep to be
slaughtered." (Psa44:22)
37No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who
loved us. 38For I am convinced that neither
death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future,
nor any powers, 39neither height nor depth, nor
anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God
that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. - NIV
1Pet1:1Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ,
To God's elect, strangers in the world, scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia,
Cappadocia, Asia and Bithynia, 2who have been chosen according to the
foreknowledge of God the Father, through the sanctifying5 work of the Spirit, for
obedience to Jesus Christ and sprinkling by his blood:
Grace and peace be yours in abundance.
3Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade--kept in heaven for you, 5who through faith are shielded by God's power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time. 6In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. 7These have come so that your faith--of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire--may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. 8Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, 9for you are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls. - NIV
1Pet2:20 .... But if when you do good and suffer for it you endure, this is a
gracious [commendable] thing in the sight of God. 21For to this you have been called,
because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you might
follow in his steps.
22"He committed no sin, neither was deceit found
in his mouth." (Isa53:9)
23When he was reviled [insulted], he did not revile in
return [retaliate];
when he suffered, he did not threaten, but continued entrusting himself to him
who judges justly. 24He himself bore our sins in his body on the
tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have
been healed. 25For you were straying like sheep, but have now
returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls. - ESV
Jud1:20But you, dear friends, build yourselves up in your most holy faith and pray in the Holy Spirit.
21Keep yourselves in God's love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life.
22Be merciful to those who doubt; 23snatch others from the fire and save them; to others show mercy, mixed with fearhating even the clothing stained by corrupted flesh.
24To him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy
25to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen. - NIV
