And there went great multitudes with him [Jesus WU]: and he turned, and said unto them, LK14:25 If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren [brothers], and sisters, yea [yes], and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple. LK 14:26 HELPS BELIEVE Give And whosoever doth [does] not bear his cross, and come after [follow WU] me, cannot be my disciple. LK 14:27 PERSECUTION Death APPLY Not Easy For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, [to see] whether he have sufficient [money WU] to finish it? LK 14:28 Lest haply [or else WU], after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able to finish it, all that behold it begin to mock him, LK 14:29 Saying, This man began to build, and was not able to finish. LK 14:30 Or what king, going to make war against another king, sitteth not down first, and consulteth [considers] whether he be able with ten thousand to meet [face WU] him that cometh against him with twenty thousand? LK 14:31 Or else, while the other is yet a great way off, he sendeth an ambassage [envoy], and desireth [ask for] conditions of peace. LK 14:32 So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath [has], he cannot be my disciple. LK 14:33 HELPS BELIEVE Give Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his savour [saltiness WU], wherewith [with what] shall it be seasoned [made salty again WU] ? LK 14:34 It is neither fit for the land [soil], nor yet for the dunghill [manure pile]; but men cast [throw] it out. He that hath ears to hear, let him hear. LK 14:35
