hate

Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. For I am come to set a man at variance [odds] against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. And a man's foes shall be they of his own household. He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me. He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it. Mat 10:34-39

If the world hate[s] you, ye know [keep in mind WU] that it hated me before it hated you. misjudged

Blessed are ye, when men shall revile [reproach] you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake [because of me WU]. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you. Mat 5:11-12

And many of them said, He hath a devil [demon], and is mad [insane]; why hear [listen] ye [to] him? Jh 10:20 People talking about Jesus after hearing him.

They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea [yes], the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God [a WU] service. And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor me. Jh 16:2-3

And Jesus answered and said unto them, Elias [Elijah] truly shall first come, and restore all things. But I say unto you, That Elias is come already, and they knew [recognized] him not, but have done unto him whatsoever they listed [wanted to]. Likewise shall also the Son of man suffer of [by] them. Verily, verily [most assuredly], I say unto you, Except [unless] a corn [grain] of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth [remains by itself] alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit [grain]. He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto [for WU] life eternal. If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour. Jh 12:24-26 Enduring persecution for the sake of Christ can result in many new believers.

And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing [penny]? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without [apart from] your Father. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows. Mat 10:28-31 Don’t be afraid to proclaim the gospel publicly.

And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will [wants to] come after me, let him [he must WU] deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. For whosoever will [wants to] save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it. For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels. And whosoever doth [does] not bear his cross, and come after [follow WU] me, cannot be my disciple. Lk 14:27 You may think you just can’t do it, but as you grow stronger in your relationship with God, giving up your harmful ways and gaining experience bearing good fruit, you'll have enough strength, joy, hope, and friendships to carry your cross. God will prepare you for whatever you have to do, and will see you through it.

love they who harm you

But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use [mistreat] you, and persecute you; Mat 5:44

But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use [mistreat] you. And unto him that smiteth [strikes] thee on the one cheek offer also the other; and him that taketh away thy cloak forbid not to take thy coat [tunic WU] also. Give to every man that asketh of thee; and of him that taketh away thy goods ask them not again [don't ask him to give them back]. And as ye would [like] that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise. For if ye love them which love you, what thank have ye [what credit is that to you]? for sinners also love those that love them. And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same. And if ye lend to them of [from] whom ye hope to receive [repayment WU], what thank have ye? for sinners also lend to sinners, [expecting WU] to receive [back] as much again. But love ye your enemies, and do good [to them WU], and lend, hoping for [expecting] nothing [back] again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil [wicked WU]. Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful. Lk 6:27-36

Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth: But I say unto you, That ye resist not [him who is] evil: but whosoever shall smite [strike] thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also. And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloak also. And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain [two]. Mat 5:38-41 Learn to take abuse in an active way.

Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip [travel bag WU]: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment [cloak], and buy one. Lk 22:36

it’s a journey

But when they persecute you in this city, flee ye into another: Mat 10:23

And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you [Satan has asked WU], that he may sift you as wheat: But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted [have turned back WU], strengthen thy brethren. Lk 22:31-32 There may be a period when Satan is sifting you, and a lot of your imperfections come to the surface for you to deal with, and you're not doing a lot with the brotherhood.

And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. Mat 16:18 The gates of Hades will not overcome Jesus’ church.

And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet. Verily [most assuredly] I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city. Mat 10:14-15 Your words are the gospel message.
