Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew [show] us the Father, and it sufficeth [will be enough for] us. Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew [show] us the Father? Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself [on my own WU]: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works [it is he doing his work WU]. Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake [because of the miracles WU]. Verily, verily [most assuredly], I say unto you, He that believeth on [in] me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, [so WU] that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it. Jh 14:8-14 Our work is to do the works of God, asking him, based on our believing through Jesus, to do things which help others and help them to believe.

Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but [this happened so WU] that the works of God should [might] be made manifest [revealed] in him. Jh 9:3 The Lord takes bad situations and works to change the outcome to the good.

But I have greater witness [testimony] than that of John: for the works which the Father hath given me to finish, the [very] same works that I do, bear witness of [testify about] me, that the Father hath sent me. Jh 5:36 Our works testify who we belong to.
